Painting: Charcoal, Wax on Wood, Canvas.
Layers of pure pigment, fluorescent pigment, gold pigment, charcoal and pure beeswax on primed canvas board. White painted wooden cradle frame on rear, ready to hang. The surface is smooth but undulating so reads more as an object than a flat painting.
Inspired by the simple act of observing time and movement from ones particular position on the planet. This image is taken from a six month pinhole camera exposure of the suns passage from midwinter to midsummer in 2016 at 60 degrees north.
