Sole Painting

The hardest part of painting is to determine when it is done and completed. It always seems like there is another stroke to be added, a final touch that will make it a whole. My first stroke took me weeks. I had my easel set up with a blank canvas, and I couldn't dare to touch it with paint on my brush. I am not sure what it was, but it seemed to me, that if I did, I would be starting something I would never be able to stop. I now consciously rely on events, people and landscapes surrounding me as a starting point for inspiration, transforming reality and feelings into colorful abstraction, connecting abstraction to my own feelings and perceptions of everything I interact with. From there, I simply go with the flow... I had some breaks, some blanks, but it always comes back to that first stroke...a new beginning, a new step, a new creation……based on life, always looking for daily inspiration, realities and mesmerizing facts.
