ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I was inspired by a much needed vacation to the Caribbean Islands that was cancelled due to Hurricane Irma. I needed to be out of my normal routine of doing things which inspired me to try something a little different by using gel mediums, pouring the paint on and mostly letting things happen authentically. It so freeing to be open to new ideas to see what is possible. I hope the viewer can see that as well. Feel free to contact a Saatchi representative with questions further information. You may inquire about making your bid if you so choose. This piece is not wired, because it can be hung in any direction of your choice. It ia painted black on the sides. I am an abstract expressionist artist. I paint from raw emotion and release every ounce of my spirit into my creative endeavors. I studied Theater Arts and Design in New York. Painting is a medium that came to me later in my life. I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to express myself through abstraction. It's a delicious treat... sometimes decadent. I love the challenges that are presented as I contemplate new ideas, implement my thoughts, and watch them become a reality. in addition, I love listening to guests who visit my studio and purchase my art. Thanks to my clients and collectors - both national and international I was able to fundraise for the Charlotte Arts & Humanities Council of Charlotte County (Florida). It was wonderful to be able to dance and paint for such a great cause and to celebrate the arts community through scholarships for students.
