Halfway or further close to my artworks completion I like to hang them, in various orientations, and let them stay there and tell me what's left to paint and to add during my trips from and to the kitchen.
Imagine you could see the vitality of the energy, electrical, biological, emotional and spiritual behind raw matter of every day life. What would people look like? What will their face look like? And, most interestingly, what would their interactions, their approaches, their moments of exchange look like?
I think my artwork depicts, or hints to, a deeper dimension of social interactions, and it shows that despite all the superficial lack of human connectedness, there is a long-longed for interest in mutual trust and understanding. So you might be wondering: "Where is the social interaction happening on your canvas?!". Well, let's take a closer look. Together. See on the top portion there are two heads, one in reddish-orange color and one in blues. They have human(ish) features, but these two may as well be from another... planet, dimension, maybe they are dream beings, or totally different creatures, with different sense organs, different needs, ideas and ways of connecting. As you watch through the "Soulography" - that is, the square bit on the top left -, you can see more of the inside of these two creatures and you can watch the currents of energy and movement flowing between, through and across them. There are tentacle-like, curvey lines and shapes projecting forward almost like antennas. And, isn't that true about those moments when we feel a deep connection with somebody, or during a wonderful absorbing conversation? Don't we feel almost as if we become one? Or, if not just one, we tend to change our shape, attitude in a way that it allows a more flowing exchange with the Other. That's a little bit about the concept behind my work.
I had a lot of fun painting this visual marvel, and I know you can feel the powerful vibe. It's a rather large canvas and it would really make a "boom" impression on your wall. It comes varnished, so it's going to last as colourful and shiny as it is now for decades to go. As with all my other artworks, a plus is that you may one day decide to flip the painting on another side, and hang it vertically, for instance. That's possible because my painting technique involves placing myself to work on either side of the painting for a, more or less, equal amount of time, so that colours and shapes are distributed in such a way that the overall composition looks balanced whatever orientation you decide to give to it. Funny, isn't it? You can have four painting in one, as to say.
What else to add? Well, first of all, make sure you know you are totally free to contact me via Saatchi to know more about my poetics behind the construction of my amazing artworks. And please "friend" me via any social media you prefer. I should be easy to find on most of the main networks. One very cool feature is that not only is the design of this piece of artwork lay out in a way that you receive an impression of layered depth, but the very surface of it is full of "creamy", juicy materic (I hope it's the correct word) splashes of color. You really feel like touching it and exploring it with your fingers besides to with your eyes! But most importantly enjoy your soul's journey into the voyage it suggests. So, thank you for reading. Go ahead enjoying this uplifting shower of good positive, and high energy painting.

Matteo

Teo Sirio Sica is a mutli-media artist concerned with manifesting feelings of harmony, silent awe, and joyful enthusiasm for life. I come from the warm Southern Italian sea-town of Salerno, and I am currently based in Slovakia, inspired by the mountain air which breathes on its capital city, Bratislava. Here I work in my atelier as a mixed-media painter and fashion stylist. I also work as a teacher of creative writing at the Italian Institute of Culture. The following video shows you the exciting opening act of one of my colorful exhibitions ("AMORnia", held at the Embassy of Italy to Slovakia) where I sing my own poem in the musical performance of my creative team: https://youtu.be/Eer1IQgFUgI My colours are coming from within my southern Italian roots. I translate the vibrancy of life there into chromatic wavelengths. Shape is interesting for me, but the dialogues between colours is highly fascinating. In my artistic code, forms are containers of colours. When you look at my abstract artwork, look at it as a landscape from above, where all the curves and lines morph into new endings and new beginnings of ever expanding and ever merging natural elements: a hill becomes a fence, which touches a patch of sky, which is seen through leaves of a portion of a tree, by a microscopic lake embedded into a huge rock. Microscopic and macroscopic world collaborate into new realities, zooming in and out between concrete and abstract. Between literal and dream-like. I like the "wow" effect very much. I like "loud" colours but I skillfully balance them into a pleasantly exciting whole for a unique sensorial experience. I draw on paper with watercolours and graphic markers and I paint on medium to very large canvases with every art material there is: preferably I include acrylics, tempera, chalks, inks. My colours are a dance of ecstasy, the ecstasy of nature, good health, good mood, purity, playfulness, innocence, a divine connection with the whole, kindness, boldness, and synergy of positive energy. A few things, among the million ones I like: sea waters, mountain streams, ice-cream, pizza, mozzarella (I am mostly vegetarian now), quiet and smart people, to smile, to have stains of colors under my nails, to bike, to tell the truth, to spend time with family and best friends, cats, to sip tea, to read books, to write the best yet written novel, to illustrate my own fairy-tales (the latter is still in dream form).
