ABOUT THE ARTWORK
In the Space series, I wanted to present depth and three-dimensionality. In many works from this series, I used contrasting materials: glossy fabric, self-adhesive foil, paper, transparent watercolor paint, pastels and thick tempera. In this work, I was painting by pinching my fingers to add extra texture. The Space series was inspired by traveling to the rocky Mediterranean islands. Rugged rocks and mountains create unusual contrasts with the smooth surface of the sea. Contrasts of colors and textures. I was fascinated by this phenomenon.

Agnieszka Kopczyńska-Kardaś - abstract painter. The artist participated in several individual and collective exhibitions both in Poland and abroad, among others in England and Germany.
