Spatial Detritus Painting

Thick layers of house paint and ink spread across this stretched canvas. The painting is a one off experiment with a color scheme dictated by a friend of mine, they selected the colors that I would be working with. The title comes from the idea that people develop relationships with spaces and vice versa. The impact of the space is sharp and tangible, shredding through commonplace memories and coloring everything with whatever has been experienced there. This was before I gave importance to areas where the viewer is able to rest, a piece where I bombard the surface with bright, shattered planed of color and smaller, almost mechanical white details.
