Otto (b. 95) is a cross-disciplinary artist and academic with degrees in painting and architecture. His practice operates at the intersection of art and science, employing alchemical thinking as an ecological and archival methodology. Through archaeological and chemical processes, he treats material as an epistemic field—an active site where buried discourses, stratified histories, and regimes of visibility are excavated and reconfigured. His installations function as materially grounded transformations engaging with archives, recycling technologies, ecology, and the built environment. Otto has participated in more than thirty exhibitions, and his work has been recognized by institutions including the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Architizer, Izmir Association of Architects in Private Practice, ArtAnkara Contemporary Art Fair, and World Architecture Community. He currently teaches art and architecture at Bilkent University, and continues his artistic and architectural practices while pursuing his Proficiency in Painting.
