"Spring freckles" Painting

Hello. My name is Anna Turina. I am a painter. I love chocolates and multi-colored socks. I dye my hair and change hairstyles. I love dresses and sneakers. I am a mom of two children. A childish dreamer. I paint and paint all around. I can’t help drawing. I draw what I feel. It’s my way to digest and splash out my feelings and emotions. My illustrations live on postcards and posters, pillows, T-shirts and handbags. Frankly speaking I am fond of wearing my own T-shirts and carrying my bags and badges. About the paintings My paintings and illustrations live in different parts Russia, the USA, China and Europe. My paintings may come true. Children and poems are born. You can feel the warmth and goosebumps from my paintings. They can make you smile and feel cozy. They are about feelings and dreams, a bit joyous and fantastic. Big-nosed girls, big-eyed cats, pot-bellied birds, peas and flowers, drips, spray and thin line. All these things are about my paintings. While looking at my painting you can look into the fairy world. Artist Statement. My painting is a childish and naive view of the world. I draw as long as I remember myself: from childhood. Now I’m an adult already, but it is my “inner child” who continues to draw and that’s why my painting is like a sight into childhood. As if my inner child is waving a hand from my paintings to your inner child. And there in the pictures you can also see a bold teenager, a quiet dreamy girl and a fancy girl, admiring herself in the mirror. I can’t always find words to describe my feelings, and thus painting is my way to live out my feelings and understand them. When I look at my painted girls, I see myself from the side. This is me, sad or tired. This is me in love. Or me decisive. Or me dreamy. I’m also impatient and sloppy. Therefore there are splashes, drips and greasy blobs of paint in my works. Without a sense of limits – I always want everything at once. In my paintings there are too many small details, peas and decorative elements. Recently discovered embroidery. And this is my new love, which I combine with painting. However, I embroider like I paint — eagerly, chaotically, and colorfully. Like a hurricane
