Art Description

Painting: Acrylic, Paint, Spray Paint on Wood.

"Sprite Spring" is a child of my new "Fuck it" period. I had been wanting to break through the "realistic", detailed technique that I had been painting with for years but didn't know quite how to do it. After a show I had this past June 2015 at The Rymer Gallery in Nashville, the dam finally broke. I finally said, "Fuck it. I'm just going to paint whatever I want, however I want." For years I felt like my ideas were traveling at 1,000 mph and I was painting at 5 mph. Now I can paint much closer to the rate of my ideas. I'm having more fun than I've ever had painting. ... "Sprite Spring" is semi abstract view of a fictional land, possibly if the viewer was under the influence of a mind altering substance. New atmosphere's, new colors, new plant life, new air. Go explore Sprite Spring. ... Anyway, I hope you enjoy it.
