ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This modern abstract painting is done with acrylic paint, most of it applied with a brayer. There are pieces of fabric and canvas collage adhered to the surface.The approach is gestural and energetic, with an earthy palette. The painting is done on gallery wrap canvas with the painting continuing around the 1.5" depth sides, so there is no need to frame. It is signed on the front and on the back. The piece is coated with gloss acrylic varnish for added protection, and is wired and ready to hang.
