ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Painting: Acrylic, Gesso, Charcoal, Graphite, Oil sticks on Canvas. Summer is here. Colors are plentiful and inspirational. This is how I paint - through my emotions and my environment. I hope the viewer will see whimsy and feel joyful and delve deep into the painting. The sides are painted black. It is wired so you may hang it up straight out of the package. You might consider framing this piece using a floating frame, but it isn't necessary. It is finished with Matte Final Varnish to cover oil sticks, graphite and pencil work. Two coats of Gloss Varnish finish the piece for a sheen. It is signed on the back of the canvas. I can sign on front if you decide to hang it as pictured. I am an abstract expressionist artist. I paint from raw emotion and release every ounce of my spirit into my creative endeavors. I studied Theater Arts and Design in New York. Painting is a medium that came to me later in my life. I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to express myself through abstraction. It's a delicious treat... sometimes decadent. I love the challenges that are presented as I contemplate new ideas, implement my thoughts, and watch them become a reality. in addition, I love listening to guests who visit my studio and purchase my art. Thanks to my clients and collectors - both national and international I was able to fundraise for the Charlotte Arts & Humanities Council of Charlotte County (Florida). It was wonderful to be able to dance and paint for such a great cause and to celebrate the arts community through scholarships for students.
