ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This artwork was pained special for Venice International Art Fair 2021. The work is the opposite of an indifferent approach to modern temple paintings. Emotional painting, written expressively, is a long-abandoned approach in church art, consonant with modernity. My work is an attempt to combine contemporary painting with ancient sacred experience.

I was born in Moscow and currently I am living in Moscow. I studied for a long time with the artist-restorer of the highest qualification of ancient Russian tempera painting Adolf Ovchinnikov, copying ancient icons and canvases, gradually I developed my own approach. My source of inspiration is the old masters. I am interested projects of ensembles of modern christian paintings. I am looking for new approaches in this section of art. I paint icons with a tempera paints that I make myself, addition i can use gold leaf or silver. In my practice trere are several church murals, more details can be found on my website. Also my artworks are represented in collection of Guild of temple builders in Moscow.
