About The Artwork
Inspired by Life on the Mississippi by Mark Twian, this large work was live-painted at the Homegrown Literary and Arts Exchange in November, 2019 On November 22-23 2019, some of the Gulf Coast's most creative writers, aspiring writers and illustrators met for a weekend of inspiration, guidance and support. The event, sponsored by the Library Foundation of Hancock County, included workshops and lectures designed to help attendees overcome hurdles and get their work published.
