About The Artwork
Original still life of a ceramic money jar, wine bottle and gold coins. Oil on linen canvas, painted in the classical realism manner. The ceramic jar is shaped after traditional Egyptian pottery, it was meant to be broken when filled up with coins. I imagined that someone with that much gold would want to buy some good wine to celebrate. I leave the rest to further interpretation. The painting is varnished and ready to be framed or put up on the wall as is. A hanging wire is attached to the back. Please note that colours may differ from what you see on the screen.
