"Stories" was created using acrylic markers, along with acrylic, and dimensional paint. The sides are painted black. It will arrive wired and ready to hang. Our lives are made of stories. There are the ones we choose to tell, and the ones we keep close. I was working on a different painting that reminded me of a very trying period in my life. I rarely tell those stories because it was a very difficult time. My mother was battling cancer. Our stories evoke a variety of feelings. And sometimes we feel we need to only tell the 'good' ones. But they are all important. Although I have drawn most of my life no one seemed to notice until I started to paint. I was off work for a year with a back injury and I started painting as a form of therapy. Painting gave me a sense of peace at a very difficult time. After ten years of painting and selling my work, I took my first painting class in 2005.
