with mat
unframed and unmatted (plain sheet)
A powerful and expressive abstract watercolor in strong grey, blue and turquoise colors...
when I spent my residency at the Baltic Sea, I was surrounded by clouds, water, storm and the sea, so I felt I had to paint the atmosphere!

15x30 cm, W&N watercolor, ink & graphite on professional watercolor paper. Comes with signed and titled mat.

Signed on the front, the back and on the mat, too. Mat is 30x40 cm and fits any standard frame.

ATTENTION: Photos here show a professional museum quality HALBE magnetic frame that is NOT included in the prize! Of course we can arrange this frame for extra costs or you can order a frame like this directly from HALBE. Let me know if you need advice on this!

Comes mounted on the mat and framed in a simple black IKEA frame size 33x43cm with thin plasticglass, so that it is ready to hang when it arrives. Let me know if you rather want the mat unsigned and/or untitled! You can also have a white frame if you like that better.

Based in Germany, Gesa Reuter’s artistic practice started in 1996. She has since studied the techniques of the old Dutch masters, layering selfmade gouache, egg tempera and sometimes oil to build her paintings with different layers of paint from thin to thick. Recently she has discovered the power of watercolours and ink in her work, enjoying the way the watery materials leave marks and traces to describe her inner feelings and emotions. Rather than painting an accurate visual representation of a landscape, she prefers to use the power of memory; her artworks are an expression of her feelings and emotions in the moment of experiencing the landscape." (Inside Artists, Issue 9, Summer 2017) So far, her works have been exhibited in Germany and Europe, mainly sold to private collectors in Germany, U.S.A., UK, NL, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, to architects, small companies, private medical and psychological practices. In public collection of Amateras Foundation, Bulgaria, NHS England and Kunsthaus Stove, Germany.
