Storm Painting

This painting is done with Acrylic paint on canvas. It is on a stretched canvas and unframed. The painting wraps around the edge frame so you can chose to hang it as is or add a frame. The square shaped canvas lends to a central or circular composition. The swirls and swatches of paint with the mark making lead your eye around and around the canvas. This work is minimalistic but has so much depth. The colors are calming and overall very neutral even with the pop of burnt orange, one of my favorite colors. I called this painting "Storm" because it reminds me of a cloud brewing. It is non-non-representaional though so it is not meant to depict clouds.
