Adrienn Pécsek, a contemporary Hungarian artist, embarked on her artistic journey by graduating from Zichy Mihály Secondary Vocational School of Applied Arts in Kaposvár as a graphic designer in 2004. Following this, she earned her Bachelor's degree as a stage and costume designer at the University of Kaposvár in 2008. During her time at the university, Adrienn immersed herself not only in visual design but also in fine art, studying under internationally recognized and awarded masters. Subsequently, Adrienn worked in various printing companies as a graphic designer and pre-press operator, yet her true passion was always directed towards hand-painted fine art. In 2022, she rekindled her focus on creating hand-painted artworks. The subjects of Adrienn's paintings predominantly revolve around nature, often drawn from her immediate surroundings in the countryside. Living amidst nature, a stroll in her garden or the nearby woods provides ample inspiration. The sea is another favorite subject, influenced by her summer vacations by the shore, captivated by the vast water surfaces and the beauty of their surroundings. Her depictions of nature and landscapes take on a slightly abstracted, simplified form, expressing not only external beauty but also her inner world and thoughts. Adrienn's artistic influences stem from impressionism, appreciating its closeness to nature and the emphasis on human perception and experience. The bold, dramatic brushstrokes of Van Gogh have also left a significant imprint on her work, inspiring her to capture the essence of a subject rather than its intricate details. In her preferred medium of oil painting, Adrienn revels in building up paintings with layers of varying thickness, enriching impasto sections with additional patterns and textures. This technique not only conveys emotions but also infuses a sense of movement into her works. Working predominantly on a smaller scale on canvas and oil painting paper, Adrienn believes that art can be found everywhere with the right perspective, even in the most ordinary environments. Through her paintings, she aspires to share this revelation with her audience, showcasing the inherent artistry present in the seemingly mundane.
