About The Artwork

We all aspire for something, if we pursue that with all our devotion and give it time; I believe that the universe will conspire and help us create our own legacy. When that happens and the circle is complete, it’s our duty to thank the Universe for its gift. I am a semi abstract visual artist, following my instincts I’ve been self-creating my own genre in charcoals, texture and acrylic on canvas. I believe that Art is the communication of knowledge and experiences. The painting represents a gathering in which all the musicians have brought something they cherish, and the sunset is symbolic to the closing of another chapter and the music is a representation of their devotion as they thank the universe for its rewards. The figures are from all walks of life, some are rich, some are poor, some are old and some are young, some are men and some are women. They could have been united in their quest and have built bridges with one another and worked for a common cause like even the creation of a song and they are now celebrating their work and singing it together. It’s based on Unity in Diversity. I have used charcoal in my construct as this is where we all come from and I believe in the adage, ashes to ashes, dust to dust! We will all eventually return to where we have emerged. I am also inspired with the five elements of nature, Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Void. I try and incorporate it in all my Art, and it forms the basis of my communication. In my mind Colors are like the rewards of life that one receives from the universe and so they are always bright and alive for me. Colors also create a sense of positive energy in contrast to the stark charcoal that I use to form the blueprint of my thoughts, from darkness to light. As the figures stand and sit around, they all relax and reflect on their day and lives and float along with the blissful sounds of music and song, sung in the universal language of love and peace. I enact many roles on a daily basis, being an artist is just one of them; I also aspire to being a better Mother, Sister, Daughter, Friend and Wife. As an artist I am what I paint, and what I paint is me. I respect and embrace all feedback to my work, sometimes even I am surprised by the way people interpret things and that keeps me going. For me ~ It’s the journey of evolution and imagination that I’ve been blessed to have had the opportunity to experience and I’ve enjoyed it the most. I paint because I believe in Rudyard Kipling's quote, "An ounce of demonstration is worth a ton of theory."

Name :Rukshana Hooda ~ Semi Abstract Artist. I make you feel nature’s soul. My artworks bring the enchantment of nature into your home or workplace. Almost every artwork will have some element of nature, to bring you closer to Mother Earth. Myself & Art ~Myself & Art ~ I love to create and am inspired by my surroundings, nature, sky, chirping birds, changing seasons, and most of all my travels. But then, in school, I never felt I would be a Professional Artist. Since my first attempts, I realized how important painting was to me: it filled my afternoons, and after classes, and I could create my own universe with just a glass of water and a brush. That's the natural way I always tried to approach my artwork. The result is a relentless search for an expressive method, experimenting with different art techniques and accurately selecting materials that allow my work to be unique, fine, and long-lasting. My favorite genre is always 'Villages of India' in acrylics, charcoals, and textures, and I have captivated the daily life, enjoyments, celebrations, and daily chores of villagers and artisans of India. Viewing various textures in nature inspired me to create a new range of textured Abstracts. Being a Semi Abstract Artist with a Foundation degree from Sir J.J. School of Art and a Diploma in Textile Design from Sophia College, Mumbai. I also created Semi-Abstract Paintings which are about designating a style of painting or sculpture in which the subject remains recognizable although the forms are highly stylized in a manner derived from abstract art. I believe that art is the communication of knowledge and experiences. I mainly use charcoal in my construct as this is where we all come from and also believe in the adage, ashes to ashes, dust to dust! We will all eventually return to where we have emerged. I am inspired by the five elements of nature, Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Void. For me, Colors are like the rewards of life that one receives from the universe hence they are always bright and alive, colors also create a sense of positive energy in contrast to the stark charcoal that I use to form the blueprint of my thoughts, from darkness to light. All feedback for my work is welcome, and I am surprised by the way people interpret my paintings and that keeps me alive and bewildered. It’s the journey of evolution and imagination and the opportunity to experience the process of learning and unlearning which helps me create better.
