ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Inspired by a photo my partner took in England this past fall. Standing over the moors on a cold morning He was struck by the sunlight and golden hues against the wet dark landscape. Oil paints on canvas with cold wax, used a large horsehair brush for soft effects. This was my first attempt at trying to capture mist or fog. I love the dark and the muted tones of horizon and sky. There are highlights metallic gold across the skyline and forward.

I am a Cree Artist living in Toronto, Ontario. Former Art Gallery owner in Toronto I paint full-time now in my home studio in Eastern Toronto. My influences are Turner and Caspar. I predominantly paint in the styles of Romanticism, Abstract and Abstract Expressionism. I prefer oils but do occasionally produce works in Acrylic. I am currently going thru an phase of multi-media focus with elements such as gold and copper leaf finding their way into some of my large pieces.
