I trained as a mathematician and spent many years teaching at university and writing source code for my own software business. But, painting is my passion. I've tried numerous mediums and mixed mediums and found I prefer the nuances of watercolour, most especially the luminosity from the white paper reflecting light back through the layered pigments. I also paint in oil and acrylic, which lends itself well to the more abstract images that i sometimes like to paint.
