"Sultry summer 2" Painting

Asia was born in Latvia. When she was 14 years old her family migrated to Israel. Following her fathers dream to settle in Jerusalem, Asia became a part of this amazing city. During her high school years Asia studied Arts and started to paint, receiving an inspiration from breathtaking Jerusalem Hills. Painting turned to be a very important part of Asia’s life. In her 30’s Asia was accepted to Shankar, the Israeli design schools with highest designation located in Tel Aviv. However she decided to devote herself to her newborn son and her family instead. Thru the years Asia continued to paint in her teachers studio and leaving a busy life being working mother of 3 kids which not always made it easy to find the space for her art work. The change came couple of years ago, when Asia relocated to Canada following her husbands work. She started to take an art classes again and devoting herself to her development as an artist. Since 2014 Asia is a full time artist. She works from her home-based studio in Maple, Ontario. Natural world is Asia's main inspiration. The creation of her works is an exiting process. Incorporation of different materials like acrylic, ink and paper allows her to create a variety of layers and textures and to express her perception of the natural world.
