Sometimes people ask me why I don't paint winter landscapes. It's simple: I don't want it. Although I love snow, but in the mountains, where it's clean. And snow in the city is a misunderstanding. It's nice to look at it only from the apartment window, especially in the evening when snowflakes are...

Contact us.I was born in 1965 in Russia into a family of art lovers. My parents had a large library of books on art, which surrounded me from childhood and inspired my creativity. From an early age, I showed talent in drawing and occasionally practiced painting through private lessons.
Nevertheless, I chose a different path and enrolled in a technical university. After graduation, I spent many years working in business.
In 2016, I completely changed my life: I moved to the Czech Republic and, together with my wife, opened the classical painting gallery Galerie BM in Karlovy Vary. At the same time, I returned to my long-standing passion—painting.
I believe that every person has their own life purpose, and sooner or later it must be discovered and fulfilled. I feel that I found mine when I began practicing classical painting. I follow the principle of the old masters: “Not a day without a line,” painting every day, improving my skills, and finding joy in the process.
I work on canvas with oil paints, using a layered painting technique, and create works in the realism style. I mainly paint still lifes, landscapes, portraits, nudes, and copies of old masters’ works. My goal is to showcase beauty in the traditional sense, portraying life as it truly is, without illusions.
For me, realism is not just a style—it is the pinnacle of artistic mastery. It requires a keen sense of detail, mastery of light and shadow, knowledge of anatomy, perspective, and composition. This approach demands patience, talent, and often the application of techniques used by old masters, who valued precision, observation, and respect for reality.
My paintings depict the world as it truly is—without embellishment or posing—evoking strong emotions even in the most discerning viewers. Through landscapes, still lifes, and genre scenes, I strive to convey atmosphere, details, and the human experience in all its authenticity.
I have participated and continue to participate in international and private exhibitions. My works have been repeatedly selected by experts for thematic collections and have won awards in competitions.
