About The Artwork

"Sunshine" is a captivating small artwork, measuring 38cm x 38cm, brought to life with oil on canvas and adorned with iridescent gold paint, yellow, green, and orange warm hues. The artist's inspiration stemmed from one gloomy day in March 2023, amidst New Zealand's second consecutive year of experiencing a lack of sunshine and warmth. In a country facing hardships and recession and for feeling so isolated and missing her family in Europe, the artist felt compelled to create her own ray of sunshine in her home. With every brushstroke, the canvas blossomed with vibrant colours, evoking the radiant energy and joy that comes with a bright sunlit day. "Sunshine" became a masterpiece that exudes warmth, positivity, and hope, a source of comfort and solace during gloomy times. The artist recognized the magical power of colours, how a splash of vibrant hues can uplift our souls and fill our hearts with happiness. "Sunshine" serves as a reminder that even amidst challenges, we have the ability to create our own sunshine, illuminating our lives with positivity and light. This small but powerful artwork invites viewers to embrace the transformative energy of colours and bask in the radiance of their own inner sunshine. It is a symbol of resilience and a testament to the human spirit's ability to find beauty and joy even in the darkest of times. This artwork is unframed. Framing is optional. It would look lovely in a wooden shadow box frame (white or light wood).

"Intuitive art speaks when words have no form. For me, creating art channels positive emotions and higher visions, connecting the viewer and the artist. Each piece is 'an emotional conversation through colour and shape. Using oils and a palette knife, I infuse my art with vibrant energy, symbolising freedom and tranquillity. My paintings, a tapestry of vivid hues and deep emotions, come alive on an emotional or spiritual level. I hope my art awakens creativity, joy, and peace, inspiring individuals to connect with their inner selves and embark on a healing journey." – Mira Mira Corbova is a renowned abstract artist, curator, and writer.
