About The Artwork
Surrender to Higher Power is the first painting in the collection. The collection "Surrender" takes through an exploratory journey to understand the difference between acceptance and surrender. This painting speaks about belief or any higher power. It has a grip on our minds and souls but fails to deliver happiness or peace. Coming from Lebanon which suffered from civil war and growing up confused about religions and systems of beliefs, I now understand that this power exists but can not be grasped. Even if I don't accept it, I have found peace in surrendering to it.
