About The Artwork
My World War 2 paintings are inspired by the color slides my grandfather took during his service in an EVAC unit from '44-45 following behind General George Patton. Major Ericson's unit was one of the first into Dachau and after the triage he treated mostly Typhus patients. I would like my viewers to get a feeling of what it was like to experience what my grandpa experienced in the European theater in the last year of the war.
