A companion work to Inhabit l Angophora costata where both feature small gum pods arranged in a style inspired by the classic Japanese cherry blossom watercolours. The internal landscape of the seed pods (known as capsules) is explored and stylised. This gum is a key canopy species of the Cumberland Plain which is classified as an endangered ecological community in New South Wales Australia. The work is framed in a modern matte off-white through which a little of the timber grain can be seen.
