I would like to remind you that Dariya is among the few artists I know who affirms and freely manifests her freedom, nonconformity and fine taste for art and beauty. I had the opportunity to observe, with much pleasure, her artworks and also her personal manner in which she likes to pose as an artist. Dariya is a refined observer of the social phenomenon and of the human events in all their forms, and also a specialist in capturing frames and moments that – by her feeling and deep thinking – she renders in painting works, later on. Today I intend to present you one of the artist’s dearest artwoks, which had also a great impact on me both as a viewer and a lover of art. The piece of art I am telling you about is entitled: “Swallows Flying Low Before The Rain”. Like I previously said, Dariya is a good observer of nature and phenomena, this being probably a native trait of her artistic personality. She manages to convey, in a fabulous artistry, a certain kind of behavior that swallows have before the rain begins: as Dariya says, before each rain they fly at little high. Three elements are defining for her artwork: swallows, trees and sky. Dariya took very few objective elements for rendering a specific ornithological behavior in an exceptional artistic manner and turned them into wonderful elements of composition perfectly combined by chromatics, shapes and dynamics. It’s an artistic framework simple by message and yet complex by rendering and interpretation. As a person who deeply likes art I love to talk about this painting, and as a journalist I have immense pleasure to share it with you. The print of the painting is hanging at the Hyatt Maui hotel.
