Original painting in mixed media on canvas. "An intense and visceral abstract study loosely based on the form of a swan. I wanted to explore the concept of aesthetics and what makes something beautiful. Does a painting need to be aesthetically pleasing to be successful? If so what is being lost or compromised by the artist? Influences include Motherwell, Kline, De Kooning and Twombly."
