ABOUT THE ARTWORK

The building of the old Beth Shalom synagogue in Kansas City. I've been there twice, both times during windy, cold winters. Managed only rough sketches of the magnificent stained-glass windows with symbols from the Torah. Back in my studio, I painted them as I imagined, not as I saw, but I know that in good sunny times, they look just like that. Now, this stunning structure serves as the home for another community; Shul Beit Shalom has moved to a more modern setting. I want to preserve the memory of the people who erected this incredible building.
