The work is a visual expression of yet another emotion intwined in poetry soaked with lost love . Elements of nature , fleeting light at evenings heighten the emotions of unrequited love . In one of her poems Carol Ann Duffy says : Somewhere on the other side of this wide night and the distance between us, I am thinking of you. The room is turning slowly away from the moon. This is pleasurable. Or shall I cross that out and say it is sad? In one of the tenses I singing an impossible song of desire that you cannot hear. La lala la. See? I close my eyes and imagine the dark hills I would have to cross to reach you. For I am in love with you and this is what it is like or what it is like in words. The work looks ideal when framed . My work is about pure luminous, deep set colours in all their depth and luminosity, stylised on the ethics of modern minimalism . I am interested in the dissolution of matter and its conversion into 'spirit' ,surrendering the world of objects to find a single unity and transcendental interconnectedness in all things . My purpose is to evoke a feeling of fluidity and emotion . To achieve this I seek to look into the depths of radiance within colour and not at colour surface .

ArtSwati is a contemporary artist of Indian origin, based in London. She is the winner of the Pure Prize 2015. Her signature narrative of lush tones and tranquil meditative layers was developed during her professional education in Fine Arts at the Art Academy London. Her luminous works invites the viewers to pause and step towards a deeply conscious and subliminal experience. . Her tonal paintings are rooted in the aesthetics of minimalism and appear to be contemporary colourfield. Solid, luminous, deep-set colours are the visual equivalent of her spiritual sense. Swollen with the Indian sensibility of pure colour, that is broken, blurred and repeated, her works provoke a transcendental interpretation.
