TORO No.2 Painting

I am a passionate architect born and raised in Panama. Of Chinese heritage, grew up in Panama where I developed a peculiar sense of awe and appreciation for the tropical fauna and flora. I was first exposed to drawing at age 5 by my father, which at first meant having a go at pirates, dinosaurs and pirates and dinosaurs fighting epic battles. I was the kid that doodled his way through grammar and high school. Later in life, I completed higher education as an architect at ISTHMUS University in Ciudad del Saber, Clayton, where I've also taught sketching and design workshop classes. I've managed to combine my knack for sketching with my love for traveling and have made sketches of every city I've had the opportunity to visit, spanning over 40 cities in 20 countries. Currently, I have my practice as an architect with my firm, Atelier1985 and overlap the creative energy with my career as an artist. My media of choice has an intrinsic effect on the styles of my work, which range from pen/ pencil illustrations, to paintings made with coffee and red wine, to explorations made over canvas with spray paint and acrylic-based markers (techniques learned from street art). Im supposedly funny, far from perfect, but alive by grace!
