A textured Deep Impasto palette knife painting in oil by an award winning San Francisco Bay artist, featuring a colorful and textured aspen landscape painting. If you've been lucky enough to explore the Eastern Sierra Nevada mountains of California, you'll probably know how the aspens blaze with color in the early fall. East of the Yosemite National Park can be found groves of spectacular quaking aspens that just light up the surrounding countryside. This particular grove was near the idyllic little town of June Lake, north of Bishop. A textured impasto palette knife painting in oil by an award winning San Francisco Bay artist, featuring the view peeking through the aspens, out over Lake Tahoe, here in California & Nevada, with the state line dividing the lake! This piece was inspired by one of my trips to the Tahoe region.
