ABOUT THE ARTWORK
As an abstract expressionist artist, I am mindful not to limit my creativity as a self-taught artist. Abstract expressionism is a discipline of the Arts in which I feel a sense of freedom in expressing myself and opening myself up to the world. I love the freedom to paint utilizing bold colors and uninhibited, which is what I have done within the fabric of this and other canvases. I also like broader strokes and patterns that are free-flowing and allow for a different expression and experience for both me and the viewer. I'm extremely excited about this painting and the one to follow. It is titled 'Tangelo'. Color pencils, #2 pencil, charcoal, Golden, and Winston Newton acrylic paints, and gloss varnish were used to accentuate this decorative statement painting. Buy one or the pair. I am an abstract expressionist artist. I paint from raw emotion and release every ounce of my spirit into my creative endeavors. I studied Theater Arts and Design in New York. Painting is a medium that came to me later in my life. I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to express myself through abstraction. It's a delicious treat... sometimes decadent. I love the challenges that are presented as I contemplate new ideas, implement my thoughts, and watch them become a reality. in addition, I love listening to guests who visit my studio and purchase my art. Thanks to my clients and collectors - both national and international I was able to fundraise for the Charlotte Arts & Humanities Council of Charlotte County (Florida). It was wonderful to be able to dance and paint for such a great cause and to celebrate the arts community through scholarships for students.
