About The Artwork
The painting is a result of the influence several of my Asian friend have over me with their calming out look to life. To me this painting means harmony within. This painting is on a Taupe colored base. This Taupe color is close to the rice paper color for the Asian effect. The black brush strokes are in the style of the Chinese/ Japanese Shodo calligraphy. The pale white strokes are a subtle see through over layer that adds movement and harmony to the composition. This Taupe base is compatible with most wall colors to enhance the Asian theme. Again I am using a pig haired brush which gives a beautiful dry brush finish. The painting is finished in a subtle satin varnish that enriches and protects the paint. This painting is 122 cm wide and 91 cm high and 4 cm deep. The painted edges complete the balance of this piece. On the back is a signed and dated Certificate of Authenticity. It is wired ready to hang and has felt cushions to protect your walls. This painting will be shipped in a crate for your protection.

Patrick has lived on the Central Coast of New South Wales, Australia for over 60 years. His work reflects parts of his life with a bold and vibrant colour palette. He uses various mediums and acrylics in fluid states to produce a mixture of abstract colours and shapes. Most of Patrick’s inspiration comes from the everyday world around him. He enjoys the challenge of mastering different techniques. Patrick has had many exhibitions, either solo or combined with other artists. He has won acclaim and awards for his abstract imagination. His work is displayed in galleries on the Central Coast and in private collections. .
