Taurus geofit: Muscari Painting

For this original painting, I was inspired by some endemic plants of the Taurus Mountains of South Anatolia (continuation of the European Alps), where I spend time when I want to stay alone in nature. I just allowed my hands to freely sketch the scene in my mind, and then added some paint to complete the tonal values and color and light. --- Depth and transparency are two plastic values I use in my paintings. I'm using these to explore the possibility of creating a painting in which every form is connected with each other, yet they also retain their individuality. This may be connected to my belief that everything that exists is connected with each other on a level that cannot be perceived with the materialistic mind. --- The painting is on canvas, stretched on a proper wooden frame, and ready to hang. --- The edges are painted neatly so that it looks complete even if it is not framed.
