About The Artwork
In the remote Colombian town of Macondo resided a remarkable golden teddy bear. His dazzling yellow coat and meticulously carved features made him a masterpiece. One fateful day, a gust of wind carried a photograph of two children to Macondo's streets. The teddy bear's heart brimmed with both joy and sorrow as he gazed upon their destitute faces. The young boy, burdened by responsibilities, cared for his little sister and single mother. The girl's fearful expression spoke of their dire circumstances. The golden teddy bear cherished this picture, dreaming of bringing them happiness and comfort. As time passed, his golden coat dulled, and his joints stiffened, yet he clung to the hope of one day embracing the children in his arms. The bear understood that his true purpose was to be a source of love and joy to those who cherished him. So he patiently waited, never losing sight of his ultimate wish.

My work is a compilation of emotions and life experiences based on a contemporary perspective. My canvases are often a combination of drawing, painting, waxing and collaging. I believe on experimenting with materials, textures and colours mother earth has given us. Through my art I explore my own experience on social, political and emotional issues in the form of paintings or photographs. My creation also includes a series of books, which I have titled "What I See". My books are a visual diary, my life though my camera lens. Within my art, a variety of characters interact amidst an eclectic array. These people, animals, places, shapes and objects have influenced my life... some more than others. It is from their inner drama, their passions and beliefs, or better yet, it is from their own being, that my soul feeds off to give life to my character.
