Thais Palma Bottiglieri is a contemporary visual artist of Italian and Portuguese heritage. She currently lives and works in Ireland, following a life shaped by extensive travel in search of a place she could truly call home. Her artistic journey began under the influence of her mother’s passion for décor and design, which initially drew her to paint interior spaces, four walls that offered solace, comfort, and a sense of belonging amidst the often disheartening chaos of the outside world. Over time her practice evolved beyond these protective boundaries, compelled by an inner call to express something deeper than an aesthetic appreciation of form and space. Today, her work is rooted in the exploration of the inner landscape, portraying human emotion, memory, dreams, fears, and fleeting visions. Deeply autobiographical, her pieces capture moments lived and those still unfolding, offering glimpses into a personal narrative that often resonates universally. Her art is a meditation on past, present, and future, a continuous dialogue between self and world.
