Russell Frantom IV is an expressionist painter who is currently based just East of Chicago in South Bend Indiana. Frantom began painting to express the things that he "knew no other way to say" and created his own method of ventilation through art. Having a troubled past, Russell learned about art and what it meant at a very young age; In an effort to "get lost in another world." Over time, Russell formed an artistic technique and a fascination with recording emotions in art. He completes most of his paintings in a matter of hours while his current feelings are still alive. He has a colorful and very raw style, mixing recognition with minimalism often replacing characteristics with pure color. Russell Frantom's paintings and prints have been sold throughout the United States, and have been donated to charitable auctions. He is more fond of publicly exhibiting his works and seeking understanding for them than selling them. He participates in art showings very frequently, and has organized and hosted large scale art events in South Bend Indiana, where he has brought dozens of artists, musicians and performers together. Frantom is very fond of animals, specifically reptiles and amphibians. He paints every day and keeps most of them private.
