You may be saying, "I've seen him somewhere before ". If you are, you might just be right. Bob Lawson is also a well known professional performer. Bob was a technical adviser to the hit TV show " The Mentalist " for seven years starring Simon baker who you see above. You may have seen him on TV during the MDA Telethon with Jerry Lewis, In the movie " Let's Get Away" or " Mortuary". You also may have seen him perform aboard one of the world's luxurious cruise ships as he performs his show " The Mental Mystery Tour. Two of Bob's paintings were rented by the property master to be used on the set for the motion picture " The Bastards" to be released on November 5 2016. Bob attended Syracuse University with the intentions of becoming a performer and had a minor in fine arts. His love of painting was always a passion for him but the stage took precedence and he worked day and night to become a full time performer. Bob was performing with singer Tony Bennett in The Thousand Islands in Upstate NY when Tony was showing Bob some of his sketches. Tony Bennett is a fine artist as well as singer. Bob showed Tony pictures of some of Bob's work and said, " You need to get back to your canvas, you have a real touch and feeling for your art ". Tony said, " Bob I paint all of the time, I paint when I am in my dressing room backstage, I paint small paintings in my hotel room and even sketch while on a airplane or a bus going from job to job". Bob took Tony's advice and has been doing the same since. You may have also seen some of Bob's artwork at the art auctions on some of the cruise ships he performs aboard. Bob has been painting for over 20 years and some of his artwork is in the collection of the famous people he has worked with such as Academy Award Winning Actress, Joan Fontaine, who we lost two years ago. Joan's collection of Bob's work was sold at Christie's in NYC for charity
