Art Description

Painting: Acrylic, Graphite, Metal on Canvas.

Artistic details:

Like with all my Diving Paintings I absolutely adore and celebrate the beauty of diving. I like to show diving as an artistic, joyful and deeply esthetic happening. It’s not mere sports but a passion and a style of life. The design of the swimsuit is inspired by the art of Keith Haring. It underlines the artistry of her jump and gives a refreshing contrast to the realistic interpretation of the diving body. The interacting figures show in a playful way the joy of diving and the communion between human and dolphin. It indicates the transformation of humans into dolphins and vice versa. It deepens the symbolic character of the work.

When asked what makes his paintings different from others Keith Haring is said to have replied “I don’t know how my stroke becomes my stroke … how to explain … it’s got to do with spirit and magic.” Every artist creates his own magic. His own unique signature of life. In this sense I like to quote this great artist and give my own touch of magic to it.

Technical details:

The silver parts are attached in classic gold plating technique with composition aluminum leaves. The painting of the figure is carried out with acrylic colors. The edges are as well all silver plated like the artwork itself. One can install it the way it is. No additional framing is needed.
