"The Bondage of Decoration" Painting

I am first and foremost an artist. But as an artist, I have been involved with various other creative endeavors. I possess design expertise in many areas including, food staging; home staging, color, pattern, furniture refurbishing, garden design and decoration. Steve Jobs expressed well the diversity of my trades, "In most people’s vocabularies, design means veneer. It’s interior decorating. It’s the fabric of the curtains of the sofa. But to me, nothing could be further from the meaning of design. Design is the fundamental soul of a human-made creation that ends up expressing itself in successive outer layers of the product or service.” – Fortune An artist need wear many hats but one must always be mindful to remember that beneath the hat is always an artist. Allow me to share with you some words and phrases I write when setting out to create a story within wildlife paintings. Man's never-ending quest at the hand of his own destruction. • Pages set in giant relics-Trespasser's Journals remain now and are simply an obstacle over which she journeys-nothing more.
