Gayun Vyacheslav Nikolaevich was born in 1962 on 23rd of August in Marchugi village located within Moscow region. His father was a woodcarver and later Slava took over his interest in this art. Vyacheslav is a master of sports in judo, he served in the Soviet army in special forces, graduated from the philological faculty of the Moscow Pedagogical Institute. Slava tells about the beginning of his artist career: “It was 1992, I had no money at all, but I had a wife with a child. and I began to try to carve and sell figures, pictures on wood. Later I started watercolor painting and eventually switched to oil.” Now, after nearly thirty years dedicated to painting Slava Gayun is a well-known professional artist who lives and works in Moscow, he is a member of The Union of Artists who have taken part in various exhibitions. He worked with Pavel Platonovich Boyko in M. B. Grekov Studio. Slava cooperates with architectural companies in France and Netherlands and his artworks constitute many private collections both within Russian Federation and abroad. Slava Gayun mainly works with oil colors – the most expressive technique for transferring an artist’s impression. The main theme of his artistic plots is the balance of spirit and matter, moving our world towards evolution and development. Much attention is paid to color - it helps the artist to highlight the meaning of symbols embedded in the composition. His bright, vivid paintings are filled with deep philosophical meaning. Each of his works has an interesting story and rich life experience behind them.
