The City beyond the trees - 2 Painting

It is the continuing work on 'The City you and I Live In'. It reflects my own experience of living in London, one of the most ethnically diverse cities in the world. Having been living in London for so long that it could be counted as my geographical ‘home’, but in the sense of belonging, I feel some part of me is actually distant from it. The sense of being ‘lost’ has driven me to work on this series. By capturing the most common, non-noticeable scenes that we encounter in our everyday life, it intends to challenge us to re-vision, re-think and reflect the way we perceive ourselves and our surroundings which we often neglect and forget.
