Oh, yes, down at the oceans, woods, fields, and lakes, the stars and distant galaxies are looking down at us with hope, expectation, and fear. What are you like, Man? What are you doing? What do you think? Are you protecting our world or will you destroy it by your unwise haste, aspiration to your all-power, your egoism? You are powerful, Man! You can destroy this world, turn it to ashes, to dead and cold stone. Then the gods will turn their backs to it, and for millions of years, only faraway stars will continue telling legends about a destroyed planet of unwise people. You are powerful, Man! You are the protector and the son of this world, you are the inseparable part of it, and it is only you, your kindness, and your wit that could make it everlasting. Hortensia precedes all her exhibitions with these words, and they serve as their tuning fork, immediately including us in their drama, in a complex, expressive and sublime system of feelings and reflections. We see how an explosion of enormous force appears from somewhere from the bottomless depths - a flash of hot red, orange-yellow, swirling black before our eyes the drama of the birth of the world takes place. Light is born out of darkness, water is separated from the firmament, and the firmament becomes the sky, and the dry land becomes the earth ... Chords of color - powerful, bravura expressive merge into a solemn symphony, giving us the freedom to put different meanings into the picture. The content of the artist's abstract paintings is multifaceted, multivariate. It excites our sensations, psyche, reason, wish attracts us to co-creation, empathy, and thoughtfulness. Hortensia began with works of quite moderate and quite realistic - flowers, landscapes, rarely portraits, and often small decorative and abstract works, in which echoes of hidden personal feelings and moods were guessed. Quite beautiful, unpretentious, eye-pleasing women's work - they liked them, they were praised.
