ABOUT THE ARTWORK
We are all constantly sending out invisible ripples of energy and communication. This painting was an effort to express that invisible connection, be it a simple approaching or a silent touch. I used one of our horses, Athena, as a concept model, and a friend as a hand model. The friend was 6 hours away. I asked him not to think about how his hand or fingers were positioned, but rather I asked him to close his eyes and just imagine that he was just about to touch a horse’s nose. Beautiful.
