About The Artwork

Inspired by the constant fight North African tribes THE AMAZIGH face on daily to keep their language alive. We all are vulnerable when we are with our trouble we are stuck in the past rather than concentrating on the here and now. Forget your troubles so you can focus on fighting. Life is an eternal fight no matter you like it or not. As usual I mix popculture neoexpressionism and the tifinagh the lost language of the Amazigh the North African tribes.

Mo’Che is a French artist talent working primarily within the Abstract Neo Expressionism. He creates modern artwork mixed with surrealism, often satire and dark humor about dark childhood memories imprinted within PopCulture, Japanese Animation, Amazigh culture and Greek mythological world. He was Influenced at an early age by Japanese Animation ( Akira mostly the comic book, Akira Toriyama, Studio Gainax productions, Miyazaki and many others ), American Graphic Novel such as Watchmen, Hellboy,..etc Interest about mental health therapy following a diagnosis for auto-immune disease made him discover “The Heroes Journey” of Joseph Campbell and the different kind of heroes human being can become and how we can deal with the fall into Hell and get out of it a new Individual! That journey through the Abyss… Mo spent 16 years living in Asia and 4 years ago moving back to France started a research on his roots brought to light his heritage and made him use the Amazigh (often found in Berber tattoos) symbolism and language (The Tifinagh a lost language that was primarily transmitted verbally and is now re-emerging in certain part of Morocco and Algeria). His art is comparable to that peom he co-wrote with one of his friend and huge influence on his life Ibrahim: “Layer upon Layer, Of the truth amidst the lies I am the Purveyor, Bold Strong and wise Artist or mere Vandal, My art you can’t handle. So step of my throne for I fight for my own.”
