About The Artwork
The Four Generations. 2002 This is a family portrait of my family the four generations. My Nana who had suffered a stroke, so hale her face could smile, my mother who had a wild expression to her, myself all blue in makeup and eyelashes, and my daughter all sleepy and oblivious to all around her. Following the loss of my Nana, I was inspired to paint this family portrait in memory of her happy charm she showered over us all. I choose a large canvas and as my grieving process healed I was able to paint this in oil and highlighted with some gold paint too. I wanted it to feel happy and surreal as the feelings I was feeling at that time, I tried to show all our characters in our close family but with very differing characteristics. After many years of keeping this painting private I have now been encouraged to make it available to the public and collectors as I move on to create some new artworks with new found confidence.

Fay hails from the small and picturesque coast of Devon, England. A keen interest in travel, nature, flowers, natural health, the sea, animals, colour, sense and creativity combine to influence her varied and colourful pieces be they acrylic, ink, watercolour, oil, digital, pastel or photography. Her works captures both the sun, sea and deep colours of Andalusia Sothern Spain, Florida and Morocco where she has spent much of her adult life. Being self-taught, Fay relies heavily on her experiences, immediate instincts and emotions to develop her pieces and consequentially they feature multiple layering and a sense of optimism over darkness. She shares her time between creating art and performing holistic healing for people and animals and currently resides in Southern Spain.
