The Gate Painting

Birce Yıldız, whose work of art can be described as abstract expressionist, not only searches for the relationship between spiritual dimention and the world of the materials around us; but also studies the formation of the universe, its order and its structure. The artist thinks that all the forms we see around us are fluid in essence and variable. Moreover, they are constantly on the move and the reflection of spiritual level. The artist says that " I imagine that the pieces of energy are quickly moving and waving in the air." and adds " Energy turns with a certain movement and converts itself to forms, objects, substances, water and air ; therefore I try to capture these movements and give a shape to them as if I capture one real image of the movement and make it stabilized. Essence of Substance, Movement, Variability, Mobility, Formation, Universe, The Formation of The Order, Repeated Forms In Nature, Loop are the concepts that creates the general problematic of the paintings belong to Birce Yildiz. "The universe is constantly in formation. It creates a reality that includes space, objects, time and spirit appear together. It is us that just live the instant moments of the universe. All the things we see around us reflects our present reality. It continuously scatter and get in shape again in a loop.” Birce Yıldız created her own painting technique, making a uniq texture by using different kinds of chemicals and materials in order to build a composition of blank, flat surfaces and rough textured surfaces. She adds gloss and matt varnish as a composition element to her paintings. She applies gloss varnish to forms which she wants to put forward. Additionally she uses other materials such as sand and stone pieces too.
