Pop art painting of my original design for 'the Good Samaritan'.
In the bible story, of all the people who passed the injured man on the road, the Samaritan man was the least likely to help - they came from very different backgrounds, from different tribes, they were almost enemies. But he was the only one who did help. He put aside all prejudices and saw a fellow man in need. He was the only one to be Christ-like.

In my version the Samaritan could be seen as Jesus, his red shawl taken and put over the injured man as he puts him on his donkey to take him to safety.

As with all my pieces, my aim is for as little brush mark texture on the canvas as possible.

Acrylic on canvas. The sides are painted black ready to hang direct, or frame.

Jamie is a British artist, living in Paraguay, South America. He visited the country in 2004 for just two months to brighten up a children's home with some murals and teach the kids drumming. However, he fell in love with Paraguay, moved there, got married there, and has been there ever since. He continues to brighten walls in schools, children’s homes and hospitals across the country with his art. Through his mural painting process he honed his pop art style and sells his original painted canvases across the world through SaatchiArt. He is also a vector illustrator and is approaching 100,000 illustration sales worldwide. His aim with his paintings is to recreate the perfectly sharp lines of his vectors on painted canvas, and like his mural painting, to brighten any wall with some happy imagery and a big splash of colour.
